Workshop Outline:
This 1 hour seminar will feature:
Former consultant paediatrician Dr Lalith Wijedoru featured as one of the subjects of a group portrait by Mexican-born folk artist Aliza Nisenbaum in her 2021 Tate Liverpool exhibition showcasing NHS workers of the global pandemic. Why? Not for his role as a doctor, but for his skills as a storytelling facilitator to support the wellbeing of NHS staff during times of crisis.
“Lalith’s candour was extremely inspiring and made me re-think the way I tell my stories whether in public or not.”
“Lalith is like a gloriously out-of-tune harp. His sound provokes people to awaken to themselves. He has so many rich tones and textures that are a gift to those around him.”
“Dr Wijedoru’s workshop really hit the spot with his touching and, at times, very humorous stories about his career in medicine and his transition into storytelling.”
“Talk about a hero’s journey! He walks the walk as well as talking the talk. I was hooked.”
